Claiming information from multiple sources that ought to require the resignations of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and State Police Superintendent Joe D’Amico, WBEN Buffalo radio host Tom Bauerle yesterday told listeners he’s had it confirmed that New York State Police are lying when they say they made a mistake when they confiscated an Erie County resident’s guns. Instead, Bauerle charges, there is a high-level conspiracy to violate the Fourth Amendment rights of New Yorkers that reaches up to the Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
As an aside, I live in the Buffalo are and have been listening to Bauerle's shows on the radio the last few days. The man is on fire from this, and I have to give credit to WBEN (a CBS affiliate, no less) for letting him go on. I suspect they have heard from "on high" (i.e. Albany) to cease and desist.
I've also been waiting to see if the story "goes national". Other than a mention by Fox's Megyn Kelly, I don't think it has.
Bauerle, though a relatively young man, is not in the best of health - having had some sort of heart surgery. A "tragedy" befalling him would not be too far out of the ordinary (if you get where I'm coming from . . . )
