Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is claiming amnesty is necessary so that the United States can determine the identity of illegal aliens in the country. However, basic enforcement of existing immigration law is all that is necessary to acquire their identities. Instead of promoting amnesty, Sen. Rubio could demand that the Obama administration enforce 8 U.S.C. section 1302, "Registration of Aliens," which makes it "the duty of every alien" to register their presence in the United States if they remain here 30 days or longer. Failure to do so results in a fine of up to $1,000 and/or imprisonment up to six months.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
Rubio explained, "We don't want to wait on legalizing, and I'll tell you why. My original position was that we wanted to secure the border first, and then legalize. The problem is we have millions of people here now, by some estimates ten, eleven million. We want to know who they are and freeze the problem in place. I don't want that number to grow. It behooves us to know who they are as soon as possible, so it doesn't get worse."
Um, let me think, which will help make sure the problem "doesn't get worse"; secure the border or legalize 11 million* transient, mostly illiterate and understanably paranoid, illegals?
Just give me a minute.........doh.... I hate trick questions..........
First ... Pretty create use of the word amnesty. Secondly poor math. There are at least 30 - 40 million and counting illegals in the US. The last I saw 40% and growing are visa overstays. If wants a count why not visit local 'safety net' offices. If Rubio believes this piece of rubbish I have a bridge to tell him.

Pretty scary that these nitwits have all this power over the rest of us. How long have we been hearing the figure "11 million?" Ten, twelve, thirteen years now? Do they expect us to believe these people don't make any babies?
As far as I'm concerned, it's just more of the same old yadda yadda.
Secure the damn border already, birdbrains. THEN we'll talk.
