Geraldo Rivera said Friday that his sources tell him the U.S. was involved in a secret mission in Libya to arm the Syrian rebels, which was the reason for the initial secrecy about the attack in Benghazi.
Rivera said on “Fox & Friends” that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney may have been briefed by then-CIA Director David Petraeus “to suggest that there was a secret mission going on there, that we can’t go there, we can’t talk about it.”
“I believe, and my sources tell me, they were there to round up those shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles, they were going to hand those missiles over to the Turks and the Turks were going to give them to the rebels in Syria,” Rivera said. “It was like Iran-Contra, I think it merits gigantic investigation, it will all become clear.”
Some of us have been talking about that since September of last year, I can't even remember how many articles I read and videos that I watched about that. That's is exactly what Stevens was doing in Benghazi right from the beginning when he was snuck into the country to help the Libyan "rebels." Once that job was completed, he moved onto to shipping the heavy arms found all over Libya out to Syria (through Turkey for the most part). This is the part of this scandal that they don't want to surface.

The day he was attack he had a meeting with a man from Turkey and a Turkey flagged ship left port there headed to turkey. Jerry rivers 0ne watt bulb went off.
I am not a republican I am a conservative, and supporter of the rule of law. And refuse to support any of Roves dopes.

Yes, there's all those other pesky little questions that haven't even been close to being answered. Like, what was the site in Benghazi for? Why was Stevens there? Why was there a CIA facility and what were they doing there? Why were the ex-Seals there? Why did the State Dept. lower the level of protection some time before 9-11? Why did the administration clearly prefer letting those people die rather than send in reinforcements?
