That's the headline and though it may seem bizarre there really is a rationale for this theft (which must have taken some serious time and labor).
Sheriff’s detectives hope the public can help them find approximately 300-square-feet of brick pavers stolen from a driveway Tuesday.
The victim told Deputy Michelle Wright that she left her home in the 4500 block of Northwest 120th Street around 7:30 a.m. When she arrived home at 6 p.m. and drove onto the driveway, she felt a large “bump.” She said she got out of her vehicle and noticed that the concrete pavers used to make the driveway were missing.
A witness told the deputy about seeing two men digging up the pavers, but said the activity didn’t seem suspicious because the victim had workers constructing a barn on the property

Quote: steph wrote in post #4Thieves will steal anything. When I was robbed they took my decorative light switch plates.
I have three of those decorative switch plates in my living room. One in the living room is plain white. All of the rest of the house has plain white ones. We're going to paint after Christmas. I'll mail my three to you.
Orthodoxy SUCKS.

That's okay. After being robbed and going through a major disaster froufrou stuff just doesn't matter that much to me now. There was one positive in the ordeal. I went and got me a German Shepherd after that. She's been the best pet ever. So good does come out of bad.

The dog surely is a blessing. You're fortunate to have each other.

We've had lots of problems over the years with thieves. Things of value taken out of our yard and vehicles. Rental properties damaged and broken into.
It's gotten to the point where I look at the garden hose and wonder if I should put it in the garage or if I should leave it outside. I'm not saying it WILL be stolen, but it might.
Years ago we lived in a duplex, a rental. It was a huge, old, two-story. And I heard water running in the morning. I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was maybe coming from the other side of the duplex. It ran for a long, long, long, time.
When I finally went down to the basement I saw that someone had opened the window-vent into the basement at the ground level, put the hose inside the window and turned the spigot on... on the outside of the house. The water had run for hours, down into the basement and flooded it.
THAT'S when I should have learned that people are NUTS and they will do anything to harm you, if given a chance.

Those pavers are fairly expensive in quantity. Of course, if you have to steal them in quantity to make any money that becomes real work. So, stealing stuff to avoid working becomes work. And, a felony.
