I was thinking this morning of how many times the President has stated he first heard about some huge scandalous report within his administration
while reading the morning newspaper!!!
That excuse told once is bad enough. For God's sake, he's the President!!!
But this guy has been pleading this ignorance over and over, saying it for years! Now, even taking him at his word, which I find incredulous, this is absolutely disgusting!!! And the press simply accepts this? How uninformed is he as our President? Imagine Sarah Palin trying to pass off this excuse? The press would have been throwing a champagne, streamers and confetti party at that opportunity.
I googled the topic this morning and came up with a Jon Stewart clip skewering Obama for the same thing. Stewart found four breaking stories that Oh boy states he had innocently found out the same time we did, by reading the morning paper. 1. the IRS scandal, 2. the AP phone records scandal, 3. the Fast and Furious scandal and 4. the Air Force One flyby Manhattan photo-op.
These are BIG STORIES!! Why is this acceptable??? Don't the American people want our President to be better informed? Why doesn't he hit the roof and demand better briefings?
Perhaps we should call this his Sgt Schultz defense?
Why pleading ignorance like this works is beyond me!
OK that's my morning rant. I'm plenty worked up now!
Half of America has bowed to Baal. Political expediency now drives all the libs decision making, NOT the moral appropriateness or even the legality of their actions.
It's the same as using "Bush's fault". He's an immature punk who never takes responsibility for everything.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
Many have said it, for many years at this point. There was even that "letter from an unknown Czech in a newspaper" that circulated around a few years ago. It was the one that said in so many words, "America has more to fear from a population that would elect a BHO, than BHO." That's why that "pleading ignorance like this works" -- most have no idea as to what is going on (seriously, no idea) and most that do are happy to accept whatever is said without a moment's hesitation.

The American people never elected Obama to be President in the traditional sense, they elected him as a token of our national repentance regarding slavery.
And, because his capabilities had nothing to do with his election, the public is willing to endure his utter failure in office.
It's all part of the deal America made with its collective conscience.

Exactly! It's like hiring the black guy over the white guy when the black guy is not as qualified but you have to meet a quota. It's called the dumbing down of America and it's happened. No one has the guts to admit that our president is vengeful, corrupt and a Chicago thug. On top of that, he knows nothing about a job, let alone the one he abuses.

It's like that but it's worse. Oboy is a racist who has placed like-minded racists in key positions of authority, And America is now living under a culture of reverse racism. We put forth a candidate with a proven career in business. And the people decided that candidate wasn't good enough. Ironically had the resumes from both presidential candidates to hit an employer's desk at the same time, we all know who would have been given the Oval Office job, hands down.
So race DID play a part. Does that make me a racist for saying that? No, I don't think so. It's just where our Country is at this time. Try as we did to erase the past, this election merely proved that we HAD NOT understood the vision enunciated by MLK: "I have a dream ... will be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Mr. Obama was judged acceptable mainly because of the color of his skin. True he had some good sounding words, but he had NO EXPERIENCE!!!! Our nation merely felt good about themselves by voting for him. And now we are living with the consequence of that largely emotional decision today.
He reads the paper to find out key information, just like you and I. He's one of us! Just as uninformed at least. Yeah Right!!!
