In the Newtown shooting incident, Adam Lanza killed himself. There really is no logical way to direct one's anger at a young man who was very ill and is now dead.

So where is the outlet for that anger? To direct it at law-abiding gun owners is not rational.

Among religious or simply reasoned and thoughtful people who could step back from the emotional knee-jerk reaction I sensed a collective pause. There were many people who quietly sat on the side and didn't say a lot more than "Evil exists. Bad things happen. The world is a terrible place. We mourn the death of the innocent." There isn't a lot more to say, amongst reasoned people.

But those who want to attack the second amendment will attack on every front at every opportunity and will never let one second or one crisis go to waste.

It wasn't that many weeks ago that Bob Costas was spouting off about a football player that killed his girlfriend and then committed suicide. He saw an opening, there.

And now we have David Gregory brandishing a clip on Meet the Press. It's the same playbook and it keeps the public alarmed and on edge thinking, "Something must be done, today!"

I saw a clip the other day. It may have been a youtube. The clip illustrated how the media "alarms" us into thinking that they are giving us the truth. They also alarm us into thinking that they are helping to protect us. Or that the government is protecting us.

We see this with Homeland Security, TSA, with warning labels on products that we buy, with alerts about the Swine Flu, with alerts about a flu outbreak in the school district.

I was at the school the other day. I watched a child lift up his arm and cough "into his upper arm". I've seen people do this for the past couple of years, after the swine flu broke out in the US. Do you know where I first saw it? On television. Kathleen Sebelius demonstrated in for the entire nation. She said it keeps people from coughing into their hands and spreading germs. Heh. It looks absolutely ridiculous!

At the same time the schools over-use hand sanitizers, which isn't healthy.

It's all a mess. And it's all designed to condition the people to do what "they say". I'm not a big into conspiracy theories. But I do believe that we can be conditioned into accepting the status quo. We should always question why we are told things. We should always speak up. We should always listen to that little voice that makes us think that something doesn't sound right. We need to trust ourselves more and not just go with the crowd.

I start by reminding myself that the idiot box lies to me. Journalists are deceitful. Nothing the White House says is true. And nothing I read on the internet need be true. Trust, but verify everything.

And you are right. They believe that there will be two classes of people. There will be the elite who will be free from the rules. And there will be those who will be ruled.

I actually think there will be three classes of people. There will be one in the middle. They won't last that long. They will be killed. They will be killed because they will be the useful idiots that helped the elite get to power and will no longer be needed.
