The seattle-based coffee chain Starbucks has officially banned smoking on their property as well as 25 feet around their storefronts. The rule will go into effect starting June 1 and will affect all 7,000 locations in the U.S.
There has been an online push for Starbucks to prohibit smoking since 2009, reports Adweek. The ban covers not only traditional cigarettes, but electronic cigarettes as well.
This won’t affect consumers in many major metropolitan areas since smoking is already banned in public spaces. However, it will get rid of the classic combination that clears the mind: caffeine and nicotine.

I don't care what the neo-nazi leftists want,the sidewalks are public property,and there is no legal way Starbucks can ban smoking on the sidewalk outside their rip-off joints.
BTW,there is no way a city can ban smoking in public places,either. Smoking is legal,and the sidewalks and public areas belong to the smoking public as much as they do the non-smoking public.
They are ONE law-suit away from being spanked for trying.
