Obama Attacks Supreme Court For Striking Down Provision Of Voting Rights Act: “I Am Deeply Disappointed” With The Court, “Discrimination Still Exists”…
He also makes the absurd claim the decision could take away blacks right to vote, which is the biggest load of BS he’s said in a long time.
Via WaPo:
President Obama says he is “deeply disappointed” with today’s Supreme Court decision and is calling on Congress to act.
Here’s the just-released statement from Obama:
“I am deeply disappointed with the Supreme Court’s decision today. For nearly 50 years, the Voting Rights Act – enacted and repeatedly renewed by wide bipartisan majorities in Congress – has helped secure the right to vote for millions of Americans. Today’s decision invalidating one of its core provisions upsets decades of well-established practices that help make sure voting is fair, especially in places where voting discrimination has been historically prevalent.
“As a nation, we’ve made a great deal of progress towards guaranteeing every American the right to vote. But, as the Supreme Court recognized, voting discrimination still exists. And while today’s decision is a setback, it doesn’t represent the end of our efforts to end voting discrimination. I am calling on Congress to pass legislation to ensure every American has equal access to the polls. My Administration will continue to do everything in its power to ensure a fair and equal voting process. “
Naturally he doesn't mention the voting rights of those the Black Panthers intimidated in 2008 and 2012. Guess only black people are supposed to have rights.
Wait? Isn't that discrimination too?
America's hope is not the donkey or the elephant, but the Lamb.

Obama is going to work with our Congress to have this ruling thrown out?
It's hard to fathom how he could say this with a straight face. I am so sick of blacks trying to hold onto this victimology attitude! They don't want equal treatment, they want special treatment and they usually get it. This time they didn't so Obama's gonna fix it.

I personally don't think blacks want equal or even special treatment.
They want SUPERIOR treatment.
They want slavery returned. Only this time they want whites enslaved so they can be the masters. I don't think they'll ever be satisfied with anything less. Their ancestors who really were slaves would be ashamed of all of them. They've become what their ancestors detested.

It's hard to have respect for them when all they do is complain! Honestly, I never felt this way before Obama was elected as president. Now, a large number of blacks seem to have a chip on their shoulder against white people and Obama put it there. Instead of building them up and using himself as an example, he constantly tells them they're victims and how he will work to have "special" rules for them.
What about instilling some self-respect for themselves, a willingness to work at being successful, a pride in something other than Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson? Obama could have made a difference but he chose not to do it. He needs to take that petty, sullen attitude and shove it!
@conservgramma@Olivia , to be fair only liberal/democrat/unconcerned blacks and whites. No conservative black person would argue against this ruling. It's not a color thing imo why the left uses the race card, it's a vote thing. It's always been about votes and power for the left, not about the constitution or what's right,
