For the second time in as many months, a senior IRS manager on Wednesday invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination, fueling perceptions of an agency in crisis.
Greg Roseman, a Deputy IRS Director, spearheaded the awarding of the IRS's largest contract in history to a company owned by a close friend of his, an action that is prohibited under government contracting regulations. ------ The company is Strong Castle, Inc., owned by Braulio Castillo. Castillo won several contracts totaling almost $500 million for IRS IT services in part on the basis of his friendship with Roseman and by qualifying for two minority programs that allow disadvantaged applicants a better chance of winning lucrative government contracts. ------ Roseman is still employed by the IRS. That fact prompted a testy exchange between Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., and Beth Tucker, the IRS's Deputy Commissioner for Operations Support.
"Can you issue a statement by five o'clock today as to how someone who used this language in their official capacity as a government employee is still employed and drawing a paycheck?" Gowdy asked. "We are having discussions with our general counsel," Tucker responded.
I saw a part of the hearings with this filthy POS Braulio Castillo on the TV this AM, apparently he claimed he was eligible for contract favoritism as a "disabled vet" because he twisted his ankle once in a military prep school. A sturdy rope and tree are needed for all of these disgusting cretins.

There was and probably still IS a lot of that going on. The one case that sticks in my mind was a black guy that knew nothing about computers was given a contract to wire up and install all the fire control and security/communications systems in a new light missile cruiser being built. He was even highlighted as one of the young "movers and shakers" and articles were written about his expensive custom home, his designer clothes, and the Ferrari's he drove.
Come to find out he was hiring illegal aliens at minimum wage to do the actual installations, and lying about having vetted them for security clearances so they would be allowed access to the Secret and Top Secret areas and equipment aboard the ship and in the Navy Yard, and subbing out the technical stuff to another firm and pretending they worked for his firm. Since it was a "No Bid Minority Contract" and he was hiring illegal aliens to do the physical work, there was plenty of money left over to maintain his lifestyle and still hire somebody competent to do the actual design and technical work.
Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)
