RUSH: Ryan 'Hell-Bent' On Persuading People That 'Whatever Happens In The House, It's Not Amnesty'
Here he is already making excuses, and they haven't even started discussing it yet.
Gee,I wonder if this is a hint on how it will go?
Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)
Well, to me Ryan seems embarrassed. I really don't think he believes it, but the word has come down from the PTB that this is the next abomination to be rammed down our throats, and after all, who are we?
“Ideas are far more powerful than guns. We don't allow our enemies to have guns, why should we allow them to have ideas?” Joseph Stalin

What does that mean?
Absolutely nothing.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
"If people can’t trust not only the executive branch but also don’t trust Congress, and don’t trust federal judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here." - Barack Obama, June 7, 2013
Quote: Cedric wrote in post #4I think Ryan is a true believer.
I think he truly believes his amnesty plan is not really amnesty.
The disconnect with Ryan is that he seems to have concluded that the public should be willing to give the politicians one more chance to get it right.
But there's no rational basis for that conclusion.
His trump card is, "If we fail after 5 years, we'll revoke everyone's legal status."
He's playing an extremely weak hand.
Because Ryan hasn't had a job outside of DC in his entire working life. He doesn't understand how much we all don't trust a single thing they do. He is too insulated to know he sounds like a lying jack ass.
