One of the acts that would eventually spark the War for American Independence was when the British government authorized Writs of Assistance to British officers in the colonies. This gave government the power to search any residence or business without any warning, supervision or rules. Soldiers were allowed to walk from door-to-door, house-to-house, searching and confiscating property to their hearts� content.

As is always the case with government power, this policy was widely abused. When the Founding Fathers drafted and ratified the U.S. Constitution, they included the Fourth Amendment � the prohibition of search and seizure � to guarantee that no such affronts to liberty would happen again.
That is, if we follow the Constitution.

The last time I sat down and took my time and really read through the Declaration of Independence I was shocked at how similar the abuses of power they were living under then are the same today. Things don't change much.

OK, W-Girl is the second poster here (Palinista was the first) that can't see the images that I upload to this site and post in the threads.

It seems that some people can "see" them, I know that I do -- do any of you know why this started happening yesterday?
(I rarely/never post images as a link to another site, I upload them here, they are either images that I've downloaded in the past or that I create here on my machine.)

Any help that you can provide would be appreciated!

When I looked at your latest posts through your profile page I saw this:

Since yesterday afternoon all I see is the German message stating that the image has been removed. I'm sure you are posting some cool images, FP. I just can't see them.

Hey @FP123 Sorry was out celebrating yesterday!

The message I am seeing with @Palinista appears to be profile related?! I can see the image so unless @Heisenberg fixed it...... I need to look at her profile. Will let you know when to try again.
