Adly Mansour took the oath of office in a ceremony at the constitutional court close to the Nile river.
He promised to "honestly protect the republican system, to respect the constitution and the law, to take care of people's interests, and to maintain the nation's independence."
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
"If people can’t trust not only the executive branch but also don’t trust Congress, and don’t trust federal judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here." - Barack Obama, June 7, 2013
this may be the beginning of the real Arab Spring.
But since Egyptians don't identify themselves primarily as Arabs, but Egyptians, we'll need an entirely new name for this movement.
The bureaucracy: the new fourth branch of government. The bureaucracy is permanent, unaccountable, unelected and choking us like a weed. The bureaucrat exists, generating nothing of value, using perceived problems to justify his existence.

Why was it ever called "Arab Spring" to begin with? It's a throw-away phrase that doesn't mean anything. The region is less stable today than it was before the Arab Spring.
