Al Sharpton has been closely involved with the Martin Family.

While I feel badly for them because their son is dead, I also wish someone could have warned them away from the publicity and the drama that churned around this case.

I have known people who have suffered terrible injury and have never been able to let go of the pain and move forward in their lives. Nothing will ever bring back what they have lost. Resigning themselves to perpetual victimhood ate away at their souls.

Someone should have prepared the Martins for losing the case. Someone should have told them that Zimmerman could be acquitted. I don't think anyone did. I think they got sucked into this high profile case. I think they believed that having men like Sharpton and Obama on their side would carry enough weight to convince the jury that their view of justice was righteous.

I think they are ill equipped for the aftermath. They will never recover.

Zimmerman will never have his old life back. But he might be able to build a future.

Don't believe that for a instant. Sharpie is his own man,and he is using them every bit as much as they are using him,and he wouldn't hesitate for a instant to thrown any of them under the bus if he thought it would benefit him.

People may not like him because his public persona is as a racist buffoon,but that's just the role he plays to attract a audience and attention. He's playing to his crowd,just like he did as a street preacher in Harlen when he was nothing more than a boy.

Underneath that clown makeup there is a very sharp mind at work,and unlike Jesse Jackson,Sharpie is totally fearless.

Don't misunderstand me. I am NOT a fan of his,but people misunderstanding who and what he is are why he has managed to get so far.

Who could forget that. I live about 40 minutes from where all of this took place. At the time, I worked in an auto dealership. My boss was a part time county cop in that town. We knew it was BS from the beginning.

Al continues to set race relations back, decades. Him and his side kick, JJ. Who the hell pays these people? Do they have jobs? I really thought someone would have "popped" him by now.
