And again in 2012................resulting in 2 GOP defeats primarily because the 2 GOP candidates were Democrat lite instead of holding to tried and true Conservative principles.

House republicans, to their credit, DO go after him, but Senate republicans block any meaningful investigation and eviidence in the Ford Building is withheld. Results? Xlinton is a highly regarded elder statesman whose wife will likely be the next POTUS

Biden - countless gaffes, plagerism, etc etc. And don't forget a community organizer who, among other things, thinks we have 57 states, and has a resume as thin as a 50cent roll of toilet paper.

Now lets look at the republicans. Tea Party? Thrown under the bus. Christine O'donnell? Ditto. Mourdock and Akin. Ditto and ditto.

But keep shilling for the GOP.

It gives you something to do, I guess.

Good points all. Isn't it interesting that Democrats always protect their own.....but any conservative that wanders off the establishment (i.e, statist) bus gets trashed by their own party with a little help from the media (Akin and Mourdock).

Then....the establishment hacks (like Ced here) try to use them as examples that conservative principles fail when those principles were in fact attacked the most viciously by the establishment Republicans.

They'll do anything to insure non-statists are not sent to Washington. Progressives the lot of them.

Ah well, back to shilling for the establishment if it makes you feel better about yourself.

I can't speak for the others, but let me use a football analogy to explain my reaction to good news when it involves republicans.

I'm not a huge football fan, but because of my location I follow the Buffalo Bills. Most NFL fans know that Buffalo holds the distinction of being the ONLY team to go to four consecutive Super Bowls (and lose all 4 of them - 3 of them pretty handily)

Well, in ONE of the super bowls, they were actually leading. 13-6 over the Dallas Cowboys. At half-time. Unfortunately for the Bills, however, there was still 30 minutes of football to play. And the Bills ended up losing - 30 - 13.

And that's the problem here - there's still time on the clock. And the clock, it seems, never runs out for democrats, statists, communists and Marxists (feel free to put Zero the first in any one of those categories.)
