If Rubio votes not to confrim, will that help rehabilitate him?

Any and every "R" (or "D" for that matter) that votes against this confirmation will gain a point in the good column. (I am just hoping that our good Senators like Paul, Cruz, Lee, Sessions, et al do their homework on this and don't allow themselves to get sucked into the old "collegiality" trap on this.)

No. Nor should it.
While I can understand the folly of expecting elected representatives to agree with you 100 percent, there are SOME issues that - once discarded - can not be forgiven nor forgotten. The so-called immigration reform that Rubio foisted upon us is one such issue. It (like its cousin, Zero-care) is a nation destroyer. How do you forgive that?
You can't - unless you're a "party-uber-alles" type person . . .
