Wealthy gay dad, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, says he and his civil partner Tony will go to court to force churches to host gay weddings.
He told the Essex Chronicle that he will take legal action because “I am still not getting what I want”.
A Government Bill legalising gay marriage passed Parliament recently but it included measures to protect churches from being forced to perform same-sex weddings.
Mr Drewitt-Barlow said: “The only way forward for us now is to make a challenge in the courts against the church.

Coming soon to an American court room near you.

drip, drip, drip.....
whatever "rights" they have been given are never enough.
push, push, push!
The bureaucracy: the new fourth branch of government. The bureaucracy is permanent, unaccountable, unelected and choking us like a weed. The bureaucrat exists, generating nothing of value, using perceived problems to justify his existence.
Church's will either have to 1) Compromise their religious beliefs (and no faithful Bible believing church that I know of will do this), 2) Refuse to perform any further marriages, all marriages will have to be performed outside of the church, or 3) Continue to stand firm and refuse and face endless lawsuits and/or potential jail time for hate crimes.
Eventually the endless fees incurred in the lawsuits will probably force churches into #2 above, simply due to lack of funds. Which is the real endgame of these militants: The abolition of marriage.
This is exactly what many of us on the right have been warning about.
America's hope is not the donkey or the elephant, but the Lamb.

Have any of you noticed this is ENGLAND,and they do NOT have a Bill of Rights or separation of church and state? IIRC,they even have an official church, which means the government controls the church and the courts CAN make the government force the Church of England marry humans and giraffes if the giraffes don't object.
Freedom of religion is a double-edged sword. While it protects the population from organized religion,it also protects organized religion from the people.
Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)

True.
But the man could have married his homosexual lover in a Universalist church that already sanctioned homosexual marriage. He chose not to. He wants to be known forever as the man who first took the Anglican church to court because it would not condone his sin.

True. Some people just aren't happy unless they are walking and talking hemorrhoids.
