That, Sanguine, brings up (no pun intended) the ancient wise saying, "God gave man both a penis and a brain; unfortunately, He did not provide enough blood to operate both at the same time."
But men do need to watch out!!!
Because when a woman doesn't know what she wants and therefore she changes her mind, that's her prerogative.
As a result he got morphed from donor to dad after a sinlge day in court.
Actually that isn't the case here. The contract was not valid per state law and the State of Kansas made them give the name of the father since they applied for state benefits. Most welfare departments require the father's name to get benefits. Bottom line is they failed to ensure the contract was legal.

Well the changing of the mind I was referring to was the fact that the birth mother divorced her lesbian friend [probably not married to begin with], went to the "dark side" and took up with a man!!! Did I read the story wrong? So at some point she falls on hard times I guess and now she needs State aid. Well that put a legal strain on their original verbal agreement with mr donor.
Life gets complicated when you make poor choices. That's what I've noticed, time and time again.

Yes life gets complicated when you make poor and selfish choices. He agreed to father a child yet failed to ensure that the contract he signed was legal. The child is not just some abstract issue. That is the problem. These adults were foolish in their endeavor. All three of them didn't think things through long term. The bottom line is the child did not ask to be brought into the world. It sounds like she may have some medical needs from the costs of medical bills. I think the three adults who went on this caper should ensure that the child is cared for and not the taxpayers.

Experienced sperm donor here.
Limit those donations to your wife and everything will work out just fine.
Eight children are mentioned in this story. How could the lesbian couple afford the eight children and at what point should they have started noticing that they couldn't properly care for eight?
Orthodoxy SUCKS.
