Well then a sensible solution would be that if one of our embassies are hit in some foreign local, we seize that countries embassy here. We take all the diplomats out and execute them on pay per view (to cover the expense of the lost embassy). I know. I should be running the govt' with great ideas like this. I just don't have the time right now.

Oddly enough these primitives would understand that action. I wish we could inflict some fear of retribution.
"We find those perps and bring them to justice" says Obama.
The bureaucracy: the new fourth branch of government. The bureaucracy is permanent, unaccountable, unelected and choking us like a weed. The bureaucrat exists, generating nothing of value, using perceived problems to justify his existence.

In all honesty...I dont want to see, not even one more American, dying over there. I would rather look like cowards..than have anyone killed.
One thing puzzles me tho. Why all the talk? Why announce the time period they will be closed? What? The animals cant wait it out? And this is what I mean..nothing there will ever change. They will always be a threat...so....BOOM!! Its what they understand, if any of them are left.
I understand when you say you do not want another American to die over there.
But I believe that the members of the military believe that they are protecting and defending the United States. It's hard for me to imagine them not willing to run into harm's way when duty calls. They don't want to be seen as cowards. They are warriors.

Its nice to think of our military as fearless warriors...but in fact, they are human beings, who are most likely scared chitless.
Vietnam was the war of my youth. I knew people who died there. I had friends we wrote to, there (stationed there). I knew people who returned with the most horrid stories, you would ever want to hear and years later, still woke up during the night, screaming. Do you think that changed? War is war. Sure they fight, but they are scared. They might look like brave warriors...but, they are more like scared boys, because unlike the animals they fight, these kids value their lives.
I think the govt did the right thing, this time. However, thats just a bandaid. In a week, when they return..will it be any safer? Of course not.
What gets me is how these backward nations get the better of us...I am tellin ya....BOOM.....will work wonders. If these countries knew we would bomb the crap out of them, they would make it their business to find their own animals and tend them. Since 2001..my favorite word on the subject is "nukem"!! This will never end..and as we pussyfoot around, being politically correct, they are positioning themselves in every country to attack from within. Isnt anyone else aware? Doesnt anybody care? I would have loved to see this happen in the 1940s or 50s. Ya think this country would have stood for the crap then? BOOM..its the only thing that works.

Being scared and being brave are not mutually exclusive.

With the weapons they have today, nobody has to get killed or be scared...not to mention, when they do have to fight, its with one hand tied behind their backs. These animals arent worth lives...when there are other ways to dispose of them.

Good one, Justme! ::rimshot::
(Sadly, "looking like a bunch of cowards" isn't at the top of our list of concerns! )
