I remember the lead up to the war in Iraq. I remember reading numerous news articles about chemical weapons and the danger that our forces would face.
I have no idea what our "limited involvement"/sarc in Syria would look like.
But where are all the damn articles whining about the cost of American blood and treasure? Where are the sympathetic liberals, wringing their hands in the background saying that no American should die so that a president can play cowboy and remove a dictator that cannot threaten us as a nation?
Where are those journalists, those war protestors, those ninnies who refused to believe that the American military is made up of warriors who can defeat any enemy if given the tools and opportunity to do so?
To quote Tribune7, "It makes me want to throw up."
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
"If people can’t trust not only the executive branch but also don’t trust Congress, and don’t trust federal judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here." - Barack Obama, June 7, 2013
