During an interview Tuesday on “Fox and Friends,” U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., downplayed the significance of Syrian rebels exclaiming “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,” to celebrate success by comparing the phrase to Christians.
“Would you have a problem with American Christians saying, ‘thank God, thank God?’” McCain asked. “That’s what they’re saying. Come on. Of course they’re Muslims, but they’re moderates.”
An inexplicable comment that prompted Debra Burlingame to respond via Twitter — she is the sister of Charles “Chic” Burlingame III, the pilot of the hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 that was flown into the Pentagon by al Qaida terrorists on 9/11:
McLame is a totally discredited moron and a GOPe fringe kook. No one cares about anything he does or says anymore. Saying stupid stuff like this is the only way he can keep himself in the headlines anymore.
