I don't have one of these in my area but if you do bear this in mind if you are in the need of anything they sell. Incidentally, Dick's is the store that refused Lanza in his attempt to purchase a weapon prior to his shooting spree.
After the Newtown tragedy, Dicks Sporting Goods—which presumably entered the modern sporting rifle (MSR) market purely for financial gain when it saw other sporting good stores selling them by the truckload—screwed over hundreds or thousands of customers. It cancelled the rifles they’d ordered, as if they were criminals. DSG’s respect for their customers was and is less than nothing, and they will no longer receive any of my sporting goods business.
Dick's also unilaterally abrogated a contract with Troy Defense to be the exclusive vendor selling of the Troy Carbine after Troy invested millions of dollars in its agreement with Dick's.
If this were a NY Post headline, it would read..."Dick's Dicks Customers"
Actually I don't see a problem here. Dicks is a substandard store to begin with. It is the last place I would think of to buy a gun and by the articles own admission, Dick's jumped in to gun sales recently to try and compete with real gun outfits. As long as the custtomers didn't lose money, who cares? I also think that it is Troys problem for becoming an exclusive gun maker for one half assed store. If they were not exclusive, they would easily make up the loss here at other storefronts.
