The end game is simple. Either the Senate Repubs hold together for a cloture vote on procedure so Reid cannot add funding with just 51 votes

OR

However many Repubs vote FOR cloture will have marked themselves unelectable. Most will retire because of it.

Then the ball goes back to the House, which will strip it back out OR Amend it to delay it.
Either way, it's on the Dims to make good on their threats.

He has to get it passed the cloture.

And the House strips out the pork.


This is a CONTINUING RESOLUTION. It is strictly on funding the government at a previous budget level.

Only items that are budget controlled on a CR......that means very few things already budgeted, and no new expenditures added.

That means no pork.

For someone who toes the GOPe line, you sure don't know how a CR works.
