Dingy On Spending Bill Defunding Obamacare: “I Will Disabuse Everyone: There Will Be No Filibuster Today”…
It’s all over in the Senate except for the theatrics.
Majority Leader Harry Reid made it absolutely clear on Tuesday morning: Republicans will be unable to perform a talking filibuster to delay indefinitely the spending bill the Senate is considering this week.
“I want to make sure everyone understands: There is no filibuster today,” Reid said.
The Senate is on “auto-pilot” since Reid on Monday set up a series of procedural votes on the House-passed continuing resolution that defunds Obamacare, although Sens. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee of Utah have maintained they will continue to fight Reid at every turn.
“I intend to utilize every procedural means available to prevent Harry Reid from funding Obamacare,” Cruz told reporters several times on Monday afternoon.
Cruz will grab ahold of a very powerful microphone on Tuesday afternoon when he will gain control of the Senate floor to make his case — possibly for hours. But Cruz he won’t be able to prevent a Wednesday vote.
“I hear that there’s a filibuster today. I will disabuse everyone: There will be no filibuster today,” Reid said. “We are going to vote tomorrow. Under the rules, no one can stop that.”

Reminder; Two adages: (1) Don't start a fight ya can't win. (2) Don'rt pick a fight with a guy who controls the rules.

Ya got it backwards, boys.
So.....what is the McConnell/Boehner plan that was put forward as an alternative to Defund? Oh. None.
Well, thanks for playing.

So, you've turned on Boehner already....that didn't take long.
And it proves why trying to placate the rabid, hostile, fringe is always a bad idea.

Not so, Cruz's proposal has no chance, we all acknowledge that
The position of delaying obamacare is a viable idea that could actually pass both houses - an idea Cruz touts but doesn't understand how to impliment.
