More than three weeks after its Oct. 1 rollout, the Department of Health and Human Services will finally brief Congress on the problems that plaguing the online insurance exchange. Only one problem — no Republicans allowed.
Mike Hash, the director of the HHS’s Office of Health reform will brief House Democrats Wednesday morning at 8:30 in a closed-door session, according to The Washington Post.
The Post reported:
The briefing comes as HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius published a blog post detailing some of the efforts the administration is undertaking to fix HealthCare.gov, including bringing on former Office of Management and Budget acting director Jeffrey Zients.
Not to sound like a broken record, but the Republicans should be standing outside this meeting room holding a presser, saying they've been shut out. They should further emphasize that their constituents have been shut out as well.
If they don't do this, the media will report that they stood Big Ears up...and will get away with it.
But honestly, why do I try? The Republicans are hopelessly inept, weak-willed, and cannot get a pithy message together to save their lives. Either that or they are bought off. Kindergarteners could come up with better strategies.
Ted Cruz, Allen West, Ben Carson, Trey Gowdy, Mike Lee, and a few others are the exceptions. And thank God for them.
“When the government fears the people there is liberty; When the people fear the government there is tyranny."
When Lee Atwater died, I believe effective republican strategy died with him.
You're a brave man. Go and break through the lines. And remember, while you're out there risking your life and limb through shot and shell, we'll be in be in here thinking what a sucker you are. ~Rufus T. Firefly
Totally agree. Still waiting for the ads with shots of the ruins of Detroit, Philly, Cleveland, and all the other towns run for years by Rats. We could have a ball with the captions.
But in my dreams.

Yeah, Ted Cruz did a helluva job: Tea Party - 21% approval, 47% disapproval; Republican Party - 24% approval, 53% disapproval; Cruz - 14% approval.
Oh, and Cruz actually managed to elevate Obama's approval rating 2% to 47%.

They're just not smart enough, and that's what we're stuck with for the time being
