Matt Damon... Just when you thought you knew him!

Uhhhh,you do know that Damon is a millionaire leftist and was speaking at a forum that was praising Howard Zinn,an admitted Marxist?

The chance that he was speaking in favor of eliminating the tyranny of the left in order to improve personal freedoms is right at absolute zero. In HIS mind,we are still a radical right-wing country,and THAT is what he wants people to fight against.

Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it�s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)

What I do know is that celebrities say what they want to and don't want to be held accountable later.

Some of his points I do agree with.

Most of them I don't care about. He lives in a make-believe world that does not exist.

Yes,but they are points so broad they would support any political position. Stalin,Mao,and every other dictator in the world made the same points to support their viewpoints. Even at least one Nazi with an ironic sense of humor made a valid point on the gates of one concentration camp (Dachau?) where is said in iron over the entrance gate "Work will make you free". Which was absolutely true. You would be worked to death,and when you died you would finally be free,so the harder you worked the sooner you would be free.

I agree with your point about Dachau, work and death.

But I liked where he talked about the world leaders liking each other.

I tend to believe that the people who govern us like each other as well. I believe that Boehner trusts Obama and that they do enjoy playing golf together. I think all of those people are friends in the same club that me and mine weren't invited to.

How many common men were at our Founding? How many common men govern us today?

I believe there is a ruling class. And whenever I'm reminded of this I do take notice because most people ignore it.

I don't see guys in white hats like I used to. I really believe that the people in power have set up the game so that they win and the population loses. I want that to change. I really do. I just don't know how it will happen.

I couldn't agree more,but the thing is people like you and I see globalization for the global slavery it is because we value individual freedoms over collective requirements.

Okay. I hear ya. He stands at the water's edge and says some of the right things. He gets more attention and this strengthens the entire cause.
