ZitatThe bill includes language from the Senate Democrats’ budget that voids senators’ ability to raise a budget “point of order” against replacing the sequester cuts with tax increases.
The process is quite complicated, but in practice it grants Harry Reid the authority to send tax increases to the House with a bare majority, rather than the 60-vote threshold that would be required under a point of order.
The provision has angered key Republican senators. Reeling from Harry Reid’s unprecedented use of the “nuclear option” to end the filibuster on executive-branch nominations, they are dismayed that Paul Ryan would have backed another limit to their power.
Not even going to bother reading the link, I find this totally believable on its face.
I am just listening to Rush and he says they are dumb enough to think they "dodged a bullet" by avoiding another government shutdown. They've got to be kidding. Like the Rats and their media buds will not come after them with everything they have REGARDLESS of any "deal?" And they give away their power in the process?
How do we consistently end up with people so clueless, not to mention afraid of their own shadows?
And people wonder why we are disgusted with them? Really??

I think we need to seperate the hot rhetoric of talk radio from what is politically feasible.

What is not politically feasible is a Rovian undocumented democrat getting elected to a high office anymore. The sooner the GOPe faces that fact the sooner the documented democrats can be defeated. Playing the guilt trip game and lying about what is politically feasible like we are idiots no longer works to manipulate us - us being the largest block of voters in America.
The roar you hear in the distance will be the sound of banks crashing, followed by the silence of business-as-usual grinding to a halt. After that, the crackle of gunfire.

If you're waiting for the GOPe to have an epiphany, collectively pack-up their bags and vacate washington, you're wasting your time.
You will have to beat their candidates in the primaries (repeatedly).
And, lately, Tea Party type candidates haven't been doing a real good job on that front.
And the undocumented democrats cannot win a national election without us.
