The politically motivated closures of George Washington Bridge access lanes by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie appointees included a cooked-up traffic study with statistics showing it was causing complete chaos in Fort Lee, damning new emails revealed Friday.

“We fielded 10 or so angry customers regarding there being only one toll lane available for Fort Lee,” bridge manager Robert Durando reported on the first closure day, Sept. 9. “And I had an unpleasant interaction with the Fort Lee Police Chief and Asst. Chief about congesting the Borough and preventing the smooth flow of emergency response vehicles… Fort Lee is not happy.”

Too many people involved. There is no way he didn't know

If he knew..dont ya think someone would have opened their big mouths by now? Do you think he would have fired people who could blow the whistle on him? Plus, I am sure enough people have seen ALL of those emails by now and his involvement would be all over the news...because thats what the media wants to do...fry him.

Back in Sept..he was not only running the state, but campaigning. He has hundreds of people working for him. Do you think he had tme to babysit each one? I think his response was refreshing. He took the blame, he didnt avoid the press and he fired people. More than the guy in the white hut ever did.

The media is blowing this way out of proportion because he is a republican. The daughter of the old woman who died, said it wasnt because of an ambulance delay. But, yet, we keep hearing about that. Hillary did 10 times worse and the media ignores it. Same with Obama.

I think he means he was blindsided by the REASON the lanes were closed...not by the lanes closure.

You just dont like him..which is fine..but, from where I am sitting, right now, I find it hard to believe that he was involved or knew it was for spite.

Also, Hillary's people back her, Obama's people back him. Its only the republicans who dont back their people..which is why, they cant win elections. I dont know why they dont see that. Republicans do it over and over again. I honestely think the conservatives should break from them, form their own party and see how it goes...because this in fighting doesnt help either of them.

He ran on the republican ticket. He won as a republican. He is a republican. And being conservative or not, republican is our party of choice, rather than democrat. I dont understand if conservatives dont like any of the candidates for not being conservative enough, why they dont form their own party. Its obvious they dont like republicans...and like I said before, this in fighting has got to go.

This bridge closing is being blown way out of proportion. I dont see it as being such a big deal.

By the time its time to vote for president again, this will only be a vague memory...especially after they investigate. Its already winding down. And I dont even think Christie said he is running. Once more, this is the media picking the candidate. As far as the republican party, they have to choose someone who they think is popular enough to win...and because of the tea party's recent reputation, I dont think someone they endorse will cut it.

Well, like I said..if the conservatives arent happy with republicans, they should move on and form their own party...because they sure dont help the republicans with all of the bashing and infighting. Why belong to a party that you hate...unless, they like seeing republicans lose.

From what I have seen, in the last 2 presidential elections, is the republicans wont fight dirty, like the dems do...they wont fight at all, it seems. I saw a clip of Sarah Palin recently, where she was saying there were things they werent allowed to bring up, when she ran with McCain. Romney is a nice guy. But, nice guys dont always win. And I know you must all think I am nuts...but for the life of me..I cant see how he lost.

I do a lot of reading on the net. I browse other conservative/republican forums, mostly when something is going on. They do nothing but bash republicans...everybody is a rino. Then they announce who they want to see run. Its laughable, because sometimes, I never even heard of some of these people. What a lot of them dont get, is republicans need someone who is recognized. How do you people think Reagan won? Everybody knew his face. I remember watching him in movies when I was a child..then on TV. Sonny Bono, Clint Eastwood..and the terminator...how do you think they won?

Most of you have something against Christie. But, people know him. And I dont care how bad he is..I would rather him, than Hillary...and she will win...because she is known...and most voters dont know what a Benghazi is.

I am not interested in politics for a long time..but I am sorry I began to pay attention...because it causes nothing but aggravation, especially when your side of choice..cant get their act together. The way things are now, I dont think we will win any presidential elections for a long, long time...unless its by accident. But, I will tell you this, I would rather see the republicans lose without the infighting. At least you would feel that your team was united.

I remember being in high school. My school was very small, only about 4-500 students. Every fall there were football games and although most of us girls knew nada about the game, we went. Because the school was small, most of us knew who the football players were...and a lot of them were real jerks...but when they were on that field, you cheered them on, anyway. Why? Because you wanted your team to win no matter what jerk was playing. Kids were smart enough to do this. Why cant adults? Oh..wait..because its for president. You want the guy to win, that says the things that you like to hear. lmao I guess people forget that once they win...you never hear about those things again.
