Adding to her peerless collection of celebrities confidentials Oprah announced that she'd scored an exclusive interview with Lance Armstrong "in his first no-holds-barred interview." More specifically, Oprah's press release said that "Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career." No-holds-barred? Alleged doping scandal? Does this mean that Lance "The Dance" Armstrong will finally tell the truth about the drugs he almost certainly pumped into his muscles to win all those championships and make all those millions? It sounds very possible, especially given Oprah's track record or teasing the truth out of her guests. ------ Oprah's announcement came just a few minutes after accusations emerged that Armstrong had tried to make a six-figure donation to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, sparking even more speculation that he tried to cover his steroid-littered tracks.
I heard some guy was going to paint a picture of opera, guy went to the local zoo, and set up between the elephant and rino pins, somoeone ask him what he was doing, he said he wanted to get the butt size correct.
I heard that she went to India and visited with an Indian family at their lovely home. She sat at their dining room table for a nice meal. During the meal she insulted the family by saying something like, "Oh, we eat this with our hands?"
The family was really embarrassed. They were polite to her at the dinner table and they didn't make a fuss to their guest. But it was obvious that they were dismayed by the way she treated them.
Afterwards the Indian press gave her a public dressing-down in the Indian press and berated her.
I LOVED it.
The all-knowing Oprah screwed up big-time and made an fool of herself and this time she got caught and the whole world saw it.
I loathe that woman.

I so wanted to believe it wasn't true, that it was a conspiracy, maybe of Europeans angry that an American with cancer had won such a prestigious event.
He seemed like a good guy too.
Of course, when I read that there were like 20 witnesses to his doping, I really began to have my doubts. I can see 1 or 2 people bearing false witness. But not that many. :(

Say it ain't so, Lance!
It wasn't just he that was doping, either. There were others. The whole thing is so unseemly.
It makes me look at sports so differently, now.
