The wording and intent needs to be perfectly clear. There is a huge difference between refusing to bake a wedding cake for a gay wedding (or a cake that says "Welcome to the 5th Annual Denver Wife Swappers Club Orgy") and refusing to sell a chocolate eclair to a gay guy because your religion prohibits homosexual sex. Permitting the former protects your religious rights not to be an active participant in the celebration of an activity that is obviously at odds with the majority of mainstream Churches. Permitting the latter allows a free pass to refuse service to just about everybody that walks through the door since, as Jesus pointed out, "he who is without sin" is impossible to find in even the largest crowd.
