Orange County/San Diego is one of the most conservative areas in the U.S.
In fact, I suspect 4 of the 6 "new" states would be conservative Republican strongholds.
Do you really believe that with all the illegals that vote in San Diego that it wouldn't just become an annex of Mexico?
Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)

I agree with Pete on this one. I still own a rental house in San Diego from my Navy days. During that Reagan era, back when "Red" meant "Soviet" instead of "Republican", California as a whole was a GOP state. Even so, the Chula Vista area of San Doego was Democrat back then.
It was only after the Reagan Amnesty that California took a hard turn to the Left and went from a GOP state to a solid Blue state as a result of millions of newly minted Mexican voters voting Democrat. It would only be a mattter of time before San Diego County and other areas of California follow the same demographic coure since "Immigration Reform" simply means that the Democrats want more Democrat voters, even if they have to import them from Mexico.
