Statements like these are so over-generalized that they do nothing to promote the conversation. Do you really believe what you typed in here? Or is frustration leading you to make such hyperbolic statements?

As a Republican whose been beaten up repeatedly by many, many Libertarians far less conservative than I am, I stand by the statement as a very specific, and non-generalized comment.

You may disagree with my observations, but trust me..........there is nothing hyperbolic about them.

This wouldn't be an emotional reaction now would it? Just askin'.

The "Citizens United" decision sure has the liberals' panties in a wad

But not to worry - since the Left is like Al Qeda (i.e. they never give in or give up) they'll keep plugging away at it until it's overturned

Yep and one way we *can* win is to continually eat away at Democratic funding: public unions for example.

There's so much negativism and histrionics by over-emotional conservatives that they forget this.

You can disagree, FP, but a conservative Republican IS more conservative than a Libertarian because a Libertarian is not socially conservative, and that's part of the mix. A conservative Republican is a fiscal, constitutional and social conservative, and therefore more conservative across the board than anyone who is socially liberal. Why do you think Libertarians line up with the ACLU? Because they're conservative?

Again on point 1, you have clearly not been the target of a bunch of Ron Paul thugs, if you don't think Libertarians look down their noses and scoff at conservative Republicans. Do you really think I concocted this accusation out of whole cloth? Or do you think that perhaps the statement was made out of years and years and YEARS of observation?

Incidentally, I am making a distinction between large and small "L" libertarians. So if you have libertarian leanings, and aren't a party Libertarian, perhaps your reaction is out of unnecessary self-defense.

I stand strongly on both statements. Neither statement is hyperbolic.
