The failure to remove John McCain and Harry Reid from office in the 2010 election still haunts the tea-party.

Getting rid of Graham Lindsey next year and winning that Senate seat would do a lot to exorcise that memory.

I keep asking why in the world AZ and SC keep reelecting these ninnies. My guess is that they like the notoriety these two blowhards bring to their states.

J.D. was a good candidate (whom we supported financially to get rid of McCain), but he didn't have a prayer against the "fame" (good or bad) that McCain brings to the state.

As far as I'm concerned, it comes down to the voters. They reelect morons because they're ignorant, and that's what the RNC counts on.

And they wonder why so many people don't give them any money.

I think it's sufficient to say that Rand Paul is the ideal candidate who will stand up for his convictions. The key is to find good candidates who are articulate and true to their convictions. The search for similar types needs to be happening now so that they are properly vetted before it's too late.

The people of AZ and SC knew the candidates. I thought Hayworth was a better choice until some of the stuff started coming out about him and his ties. After that it was one of those there is no real winner here.

Paul is a lot better than his father, and he is a good man, but he does have one or more loony libertarian wacky ideals, such as he supports open borders. And amnesty.
