The twist here is most lie about being more moderate than they really are. When finally brought to light with the lies the libs either usher them out or the fools who elected them develop a type of Stockholm syndrome and alter their views to conform with the ticket. For liberals it's us against them, not so much values.

Traditional marriage, gun rights, taxes for a few examples.
