The American Thinker by Jonathon Moseley April 3, 2013
News is breaking out all over: global warming stopped 20 years ago.
A political earthquake has resulted from a feature story in the Economist magazine because the Economist used to be a consistent cheerleader for global warming activism. Doubts about global warming used to be censored by its London editors, one reporter confided to Stephen Hayward.
So what will voters do to Democrat candidates in 2014 and 2016 when the former realize that the Democratic Party was lying to them? Is it time to run away from the issue for
Democrats, journalists, and Hollywood personalities?
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
I hope that I am wrong, but I don't see them giving up easily on this at all. There is too much at stake, both in $$$$ and CONTROL. I'm sure that there will be plenty of excuses made, the "highly complex" models will need to be re-calibrated, they'll redouble their efforts to move the instrumentation into more natural and un-natural heat islands to jigger the temps up, the media onslaught will go on unabated with no shortage of "expert" frauds willing to step up and use the climate change meme to blame virtually every "unusual" weather-related event. This is a program that they have in place that will purposefully destroy the economies of the developed world, they aren't going to let this go without a fight.

No, not at all. They'll just come up with a new "crisis" - global cooling, maybe? And tell us it's SUVs, guns, and not paying enough in taxes that's causing it.
And stupid low info voters (and illegal aliens) will fall for it.

I agree with you because so many Americans lack critical thinking skills and will be lead emotionally to any argument that they find attractive.
Orthodoxy SUCKS.

You're not wrong.
ZitatHumanity crossed from superstition to the scientific era when Sir Francis Bacon publicized "The Scientific Method." This requires hard data from controlled experiments, which are independently repeated. But we now have "science by press release." Political activists calling themselves scientists offer raw opinion and speculation. And now Western civilization is in deep trouble. We are sinking back into superstition, in which elite priests tell us what to think.

I don't think you are wrong, in fact, I think for the average voter global warming, climate control or whatever other moniker they slap on it, is the gospel. Our elections are now based on sound bites and celebrity status, facts no longer permeate. Green policies are taught in our schools, I even see my kid movies and cartoons riddled with that ideology. How do you break through with the truth when even the media believes its real and helps push the agenda?
