Two congressional Republicans want to end, once and for all, the attempts of atheist groups and others to remove religious symbols from war memorials.
Rep. Duncan Hunter of California and Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina on Thursday introduced the “War Memorial Protection Act,” which they say will create a “foundation in federal law” for public veterans’ and war memorials that include crosses or similar items.
“It is our duty to honor our veterans and their families, and American military memorials around the world stand as testaments to their sacrifice,” Mr. Burr said in a statement. “Many of our men and women in uniform have strong religious convictions, often finding that their faith has played a role in their service. This bill would recognize their beliefs by ensuring that religious symbols, regardless of affiliation, are allowed to be part of military memorials.”
Thank goodness for some of our republican leaders that try to maintain our heritage & freedoms while the democrats are determined to tear it all down in the name of progress.

Atheists simply reject an authority greater than themselves.

That such a bill is necessary is a sad comment on how far our culture has been infested by Cultural Marxism.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson

Boy isn't that the truth! And thanks Palinista for that timely pic. Arlington is absolutely filled with stones like that one, can you imagine how much $$$$ and time it would take to remove all of these stones throughout the country?
