Not exactly. Toomey got his ass handed to him with this loss and his old 15th district here in PA were fit to be tied over him backing this. Toomey regularly calls in to the local radio station to talk about what is going on and some of his biggest supporters reamed him a new one over pushing this bill. The callers were BRUTAL. Pat is running away from this mess as fast as he can and hopping the base will forget this in 4 years.

There was no Jedi mind trick here and McConnell had nothing at all to do with this. Voters in states with wavering Senators calling and emailing are what ended this nightmare.
