it reminds me of when I used to play sports and there was a bad ref. that could really throw a game. so the only way to eliminate that factor was to win decisively.
this just MAY be what's going on here. the "win" is by such a large margin that even the press has to stop the charade.

No doubt true, but too late. Their credibility is long gone. So much so that they should be prosecuted for being accessories to the coverup and arrested.
