The people who can stomach his "tone" aren't the people we need to win over.
Mark always says that his target audience isn't the "drones." He is all about informing thinking Americans (what little of them remain) about the unvarnished truth of what is happening to the American Republic.
Your point is well taken, LIVs sure aren't responsive to the Mark Levin Show. I think that Rush is still trying his "LIV outreach" program, I hope that he is successful!

Yep, like a conservative talk radio caricature, he is simply preaching to the choir. Conservative talk is lucrative employment for a lot of people today. I like Michael Medved and Rush.

I agree that it is lucrative but a guy like Levin is doing more than preaching to a choir -- he is actually educating millions of people each day. There is something to be said for that.
(I won't hold your liking Medved against you though!)
What people here as Tone I here Passion and the love for Country and Freedom and the price it took to come by it and just to watch it being taken and sometimes willfully given over to a more intrusive gov--if one does not have a tone then one is comfortable with letting a nanny state take care of them and manage their affairs--I for one like TONE

I agree with you Eglman. Hearing Mark rip into these scoundrels is often the highlight of my day! (I often feel, at least somebody gets it and is on my side!) I agree he is passionate and rightly so! I mentioned the whole "tone" thing because several people have mentioned to me over the years that they find it a bit "disturbing," but it doesn't bother me in the least!
Quote: FP123 wrote in post #13Mark is hard to listen to for many folks. Aside from his "tone" which many consider to be "harsh" or "strident," he speaks truthfully about what is happening in this country -- much of which is highly unpleasant and unpalatable. In addition, he has no problem calling out statists for what they are, regardless if they wear an "R" or a "D." That too is troubling to many.
When he refers to problems that elections aren't going to fix he is often talking about the bloated Regulatory State, in fact he mentioned the recent Turley article on Fourth Branch of Government - RR Thread late in this broadcast. These are the people in the bureaucracies that are indeed untouchable by elections, we don't get to vote for them, and Congress does little to stop them; more often Congress enables their statist behaviors by continuing to increase their bloated funding to the point where it is today. Read Turley's article linked above, it explains a great deal of what Mark is often referring to on this topic. In fact, his book Ameritopia covers it extensively.
Oh, and the other thing, Mark and Landmark Legal are continually in the courts doing "hand to hand" combat (as he calls it) with these agencies amongst others, he is fighting for your rights and freedom day in and day out, whether you care for his "tone" or not.
