The Captain said there was "Sum Ting Won" into the radio right before the plane crashed. I guess he was just saying his name.

And what a hoax it was, confirmed by the NTSB no less!!!

I often wonder if when this stuff happens, is it that everyone's head is so far up their asses anymore that no one caught this or is it that there are people with a marvelous sense of humor slipping something by.

Yes, I'm glad you said that, a marvelous sense of humor seems about right to me. And I wonder if the guilty humorist will ever be found. Likely such a prank would be difficult to keep a lid on.
