Well now there's the rub, you have a different opinion than we do.
Which side is the "allowed" opinion?
If you move on to a next site, you'll have a difference of opinion with them at some point too. That's the thing about politics, you'll never find anyone you agree with 100% about anything in life. We all think, even conservatives, that if we were the supreme dictator in the world and every policy was run 100% according to our beliefs, that life would be completely perfect. I think deep down we all all into that trap. And we all have different beliefs, even our ideological brethren don't agree on everything.
At some point you have to realize that people have different opinions than you do and that that is ok.
"Me" vs. "we", huh?
Would you point out for me - PLEASE - anywhere I have said that people must have the same opinion as I?
Please??
Because I must have missed it.
You said you didn't want this to become a "GOP rah rah site", what does that mean?
You're a brave man. Go and break through the lines. And remember, while you're out there risking your life and limb through shot and shell, we'll be in be in here thinking what a sucker you are. ~Rufus T. Firefly
The only thing I know about GN is that a) liberals absolutely hate the guy (like Karl Rove),
They don't hate him. He is a DC insider and has been for decades. Other than the anti tax pledge, he is fully in the open borders bullshit and the 911 mosque.
Zitatb) he had some sort of pledge and he has a Muslim wife (which I just found out from googling him). I followed him on Twitter and generally like his opinion pieces.
He is a little deeper into the muslim thing than just having married one. He was pals with and financed by convicted terrorist Abdulrahman Alamoudi who ran the Boston Bombers radical mosque.
Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) took a $2 Billion dollar bribe to destroy the country that our kids and grand kids will be paying for.
You're completely wrong on this point. Liberals absolutely hate the guy.
Rank and file OWS types do, but he is a long time denizen of DC and will be for decades to come. DC insiders hang with him. Know why? Because other than the tax stuff, he is a Leftist.

Quote: Eglman wrote in post #13no wonder the gop is no different than the dems--the establishment type refuses to purge cockroaches when they find them--they make excuses for them and then shoot the messenger--and then claim it's a purity thing (BS)--if norquist and rove are what you want then you can have them--I think they are what is wrong
When the messenger is a conspiracy wacko who supported Santorum, then fully backed Romney...yeah I'll shoot him
Now who's demanding purity?
Not me. I just don't consider the ramblings of a nut case and proven habitual two face media personality worthy
People can and do have opinions about Beck - Me, I used to watch him when he was on FOX but haven't followed him lately.
At one point on this thread, I tried to steer the discussion somewhat onto Grover Norquist. I even mentioned the fact (at least according to several non-Beck online sources) that he's pushing for so-called "immigration reform" - a red flag if there ever was one.
Now there may be some who consider themselves republicans "in good standing" who see no problem with this. Indeed, the 2012 VP nominee Paul Ryan is pushing this. And who is more republican than that?
But there are others - like me - who hear the McCains and the Boehners and the Ryans calling for immigration reform and know EXACTLY what it means. It means they will have some sort of "grand compromise" with the dems - defined the way compromise is usually defined in DC speak: compromise = we'll do it the democrat's way.
This is so far a pretty good discussion site. For the most part.
But if it's going to become a GOP rah rah site, then I'm out of here.
No one here is for immigration reform. But using the op to get to that point is like going through your ear to scratch your elbow.
I have never told anyone what to think or what to post. Those are traits not becoming of conservatives, wouldn't you agree? I'm still not convinced how GN, Rove, Will, Beck, Levin etc are able to rally anyone who isn't already in their camp. They don't call the shots or me.
