House Republican leaders announced Wednesday the lower chamber will vote next week on a bill that would allow people to keep their health insurance plan if they like it.
The vote hits at President Obama, who, during the debate over the Affordable Care Act, said people could keep their healthcare plans if they like them. Several people, however, have gotten cancelation notices because of ObamaCare's new standards.
Late Wednesday afternoon, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) announced via Twitter that the bill would get a vote.

I want to know why they think it is funny to pull a stunt like this to "tweak" the president. It isn't funny. It's meaningless. They should be thrown out of office on their rears. I don't pay their salaries for them to "tweak" the president. I pay their salaries so that they will stop his agenda moving forward by any and every means necessary.
And at this point in time I have come to believe that it is just a game to them and that they are not doing everything they can to stop him.
I've lost faith in them. They are worthless bags of air.

Its all a load of crap..just like the 30 some odd times they claim they tried to get rid of it.
The reason people cant keep their insurances and they are being terminated, is because those policies dont include what the insurance companies HAVE to include now. With all of these mandatory additions, do people think the insurance companies are going to eat the price differences? So, the old policies are canceled, replaced by new, more expensive policies, because YOU are going to pay for the additions (even if you are a single male and dont need maternity and various other female coverages).
They can huff and puff ALL they want in DC, but unless THEY are going to pay the differences for you, the insurance companies arent going to budge and eat the difference.
And if their plan is single payer...I hope they plan on giving it to us free, like in the UK.

You don't think the Brits aren't taxed for their healthcare?

You dont think we will be taxed AND have to pay for it? Who do you think will be paying..and HAVE been paying for the freebies, here? You think these low to mid income people are going to pay for it? Think again.
But this must be why so many people thought it was free..because it was always being compared to the UK. What these idiots dont realize is, you get what you pay for or in this case, you get what you would never consider paying for. These people have very long waits to see doctors (so do the canadians). And forget specialists..most of them will never see one. And forget drugs. You think they get prescribed what we get prescribed here? I was never quite sure if they were being forced to pay for this and is why I looked it up. I didnt think they paid, but before I said that..I made sure.
Ya know..we in this country arent used to having something forced upon us. And people arent going to start now. I think they would have a tough time getting people to sign up for a single payer, inferior insurance, unless they plan on keeping tax returns..and tapping bank accts. And even then, people will find a way around it. Then you will find the banks in trouble..when people begin using mattresses again.
