The House debated and approved a bill that would allow people to keep their existing health insurance plan if they are happy with it. The bill sponsored by Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) gives insurance companies the power to maintain current plans that they may have already canceled due to requirements under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The final vote in favor of the measure was 261 to 157.
A similar bill could be considered int he Senate according to Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA), although that has not yet been determined. President Obama announced Thursday that he would allow insurers to continue offering individual plans for another year even if they do not comply rules stipulated by the ACA.
The White House says it will veto the bill if it comes to the President's desk.

Key stat: 39 Democrats broke ranks and voted for the bill, ignoring Obama's threatened veto.
You're right, Ducky, this is all about slowly but surely bringing the general public around to the realization that Obama, and Obama alone, is destroying our health care system.
Right. Too bad this didnt happen before he won the last election. However, it is getting more and more entertaining. I just feel bad for people who were dropped and need it now.

Me, too.
The American people are, by and large, very trusting....even gullible....and to watch Obama abuse their trust was as alarming as it was disgusting.
But, if I may paraphrase Obama's very own pastor, "Obama's chickens........are comin' home....to roooooost!"
