As long as they don't delay the collapse until after the 2014 elections I don't care.

Any "you can keep your plan" will doom the whole thing to collapse.

The insurance companies cannot reinstate these plans. Its not as simple as sending a new "nevermind" letter. Everything has to be reworked, plans changed again, computers programed again..by the time they did this, the year would be up. Meanwhile, the people wouldnt be covered in all of this time. AND..what happens next year? Same chit, different day? They need to get rid of this thing PERIOD. Why prolong the agony..it will fail next year, just as it would fail this year. Are they that stupid?

The republicans shouldnt agree to anything but a repeal. Why save the asses of these dems who brought this on themselves? Are the republicans worried about looking bad? They should keep repeating over and over, HOW we got to this point. THEY had NO part in this.

Repeal this crap..open up insurance shopping so you can buy from any state and any kind of plan that YOU can afford, with coverage YOU want...and then butt out. Because this affordable care..is now not affordable for anyone, much less the poor. What this will accomplish is more fine paying..and longer lines at the emergency rooms.

There was no problem in this country, when people could only buy hospitalization coverage and pay the rest out of pocket. This would force doctors and drug companies to lower their fees. My parents NEVER had health insurance..and they lived their lives fine without it...because things were reasonably priced back then. I have always had health coverage, well..maybe first 3-4 years married I didnt. But, I married at 18 years old. Two years later, I paid for my first childs birth our of pocket. I believe we had coverage for the 2nd, but they didnt pay for maternity. By child 3, they paid...but, I paid dr visits and drugs out of pocket. We all survived. Go figure. I didnt get a plan that paid dr visits and drugs until the early 80s. We paid all pediatrician visits, etc ourselves.

It's all about control over the masses.

As far as control...believe me, more americans are on high alert. I thought there was a big outcry at the start of this thing, 4 years ago..but that was tiny compared to what I see now. Most people are wide awake. Those who are silent, either havent been burned or had no insurance to begin with...and dont realize that they STILL wont have any. They arent gonna control anybody. People just wont buy. This whole thing falls on those who arent sick. These are the people they need..and they wont get them.

If it wasnt so pathetic..I would be LMAO. But, I cant gloat because sick people are suffering. I, myself, am waiting to see what my husbands company is going to do about insurance. My husband should have retired 4 years ago. I believe a part of the reason he didnt, is because of this insurance. But, if that goes..we are going to be in a pickle. I would hate to start withdrawing out of our savings to pay some outrageous price for insurance.

One more year helps no one. I doubt these insurance companies can give them their policies back in that time. And, I believe there is nothing in those bills that force them to do that. Just the way they cant force Americans to buy something they have no money to pay for, they cant force these insurance companies to offer something they dont have yet.

Does anybody up there actually think these things thru?
