The problem is this "go along to get along" philosophy is what has us where we are today. The Party Regulars promise anything they have to promise to get us on board for the election,and once the votes have been counted conservatives are treated worse than leftists by them.

Since they do nothing that doesn't serve to keep them in power and they keep voting for globalism after every election,I say "To hell with those weasels! Let the purges begin and let the alleged Republican Party end up smoldering on the ashheaps of history. After all,if all they are going to do is stab us in the back,we need to disarm them by putting them out of office.

This is the ONLY chance we have of saving this country and what few individual freedoms remain. If the alleged Republican Party is allowed to survive,we won't be.

Make no mistake about it,this is a battle for survival by both the conservatives and the globalists.

The establishment GOP has more in common -- a nice lifestyle courtesy of the taxpayer -- with the Democrats than it does with the Tea Party.

The ultimate legacy of both Custer and Lloyd Fredendall was dictated by Defeat and not by personality or aggressiveness in the field. In regards to personality, Patton, Custer and Lloyd Fredendall were all opinionated and bombastic individuals who were convinced that they knew best. There is nothing wrong with believing that you are God’s gift to your profession just as long as you actually are and have the results to back up the bombast. Fredendall’s problem, however, was that he was highly incompetent, did not realize it and never achieved the bottom line which is Victory.

Custer’s and Lloyd Fredendall’s forces were slaughtered at Little Big Horn and Kasserine Pass, respectively, not because of a lack of combat aggressiveness but, rather, because of an over-abundance of field aggressiveness combined with an ignorance of the local battlefield situation.

Lloyd Fredendall was a “Map General”. He would plan his strategies on paper maps without bothering to examine the terrain and conditions himself (Stonewall Jackson got killed as a result of examining the terrain himself). Fredendall also disregarded the advice of his subordinates that DID have much better knowledge of the local realities. As a result, Fredendall’s deployments might have looked great to him on his paper maps but were FUBAR in the field against a Real World enemy. To compound the problem, Fredendall also failed to study and learn the lessons of past British mistakes against the same foe, suppressed the input of anybody that disagreed with him and listened only to his own opinion. As a result, Fredendall blundered into a trap at Kasserine Pass.

Fredendall saw the battlefield as he wished it to be and not as it actually was. At Kasserine Pass, Fredendall was like Ambrose Burnside charging Marye’s Heights at Fredericksburg. The battlefield reality simply did not correspond to the imaginary battlefield inside his own head.

Likewise, the Tea Party has demonstrated a recurring pattern of suicidal charges with a total disregard of the local battlefield situation and conditions. Instead of learning from past mistakes, they keep repeating the same mistakes and hoping for a different outcome. Two prime examples have been the Christine O'Donnell fiascos in the Delaware Senate races in 2008 and, again, in 2010 in the latest fiasco of the 2013 Virginia Governor’s race.

Just like Lloyd Fredendall, the Tea Party Generals have been “Map Generals” but to an even worse degree. They plan every campaign, be it in Purple Delaware or in Purple Virginia, with a battle map of the State of Alabama in front of them. Virginia is not Alabama and Delaware is certainly not Alabama. Sending a Tea Party candidate such as Christine O'Donnell that the majority of Alabama absolutely adores into battle in Purple Delaware is like launching some of Patton’s Third Army tanks from LSTs in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean in order to perform convoy escort duties. Colors on maps and charts mean something and you cannot send your tanks that are magnificent in the Tan areas of an Alabama map into the Blue areas of a map and expect success unless your intention is to create artificial reefs.



What produces Victory is not Courage versus Cautiousness. What produces Victory is the knowledge and wisdom to mix Courage and Cautiousness in the correct proportions at the correct time under the specific circumstances of a specific battlefield situation.

When he assumed command of the Army of Northern Virginia, Robert E. Lee was considered an overly-cautious commander if not down-right cowardly for insisting that his troops dig defensive positions in front of Richmond instead of immediately attacking McClellan (thus the mocking nicknames of “Granny Lee” and “The King of Spades’). Yet, Lee’s cautiousness and patience, wrongly interpreted as reluctance to fight, made the crushing Seven Days defeat of McClellan possible. Burnside was as aggressive as a General can be at Fredericksburg but Burnside’s “courage” at Fredericksburg was just reckless stupidity. In contrast, McClellan in the Peninsular Campaign was cautious without Lee’s ability to be aggressive when the time and the situation was right, also resulting in defeat.

A masterpiece of a combination of Courage and Cautiousness was Stonewall Jackson’s advice at Chancellorsville where a courageous but suicidal frontal assault was discarded in favor of a long flanking march against the weak Union left that routed the entire Union Army. After Jackson’s death, the frontal attack of Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg was very Tea Party and glorious but the Army of Northern Virginia was mortally wounded after that doomed charge.

In the end, what matters is not what others call Courage or Cowardice or Recklessness or Timidity at the time before the battle. Before the battle, all of that is simply Trash Talking.

In the end, what matters is Victory. Was Victory achieved? Yes or no? It’s as simple as that.

For the Tea Party to now be considered the equivalent of Patton, the Tea Party would have needed resounding Victories outside of its home turf and those Victories simply do not exist, not even in the 2010 Alaska Senate race where a hated “RINO” with a hard-to-spell name won as a write-in candidate against a Tea Party candidate that had Sarah Palin herself as the cheerleader.

Outside of the Deep South and the Bible Belt, not even Sarah Palin’s Alaska is the political equivalent of Alabama but the Tea Party simply refuses to understand that. Thus, like General Burnside, the Tea Party keeps launching doomed frontal assaults in battlefield situations they simply do not understand, with predictably disastrous results.

No matter how its spun or twisted the majority of potential GOP voting Americans support the Tea Parties' s principles. Regardless of the smeared name for it. The point being the only way to win now is to embrace those principles not attack them. The GOPe is seen as one of the problems not a soultion, not the good guys and not able to win. They are seen as intentionally losing to democrats i.e. planning to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory - AGAIN.

By painting Tea Party as bad when a majority of American now fear their government, fear economic collapse and place congresses approval ratings lower then that of slime mold is not logical, reasonable, sane or a wining strategy.

But, tactically, they are Reagan's polar opposite........embarrassingly so.

Ronaldus Maximus didn't run around continually calling members of the Rockefeller/Gerald Ford/GOPe crooks, cowards, bums and even traitors.

Reagan was way too smart to do that.
