Clinton, who has been battling the flu, fainted and fell, according to a statement released by the State Department.

She suffered a concussion and was treated at a hospital, but she is now recovering at her Washington home.

Clinton, 65, has been ill for the last week, forcing the cancelation of a trip to the Middle East. An aide said that she had grown dehydrated due to the flu, which caused her to faint.

She was scheduled to testify on Capitol next week about the investigation into the September attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

That appearance, however, will likely have to be postponed, according to officials. Clinton is expected to work from home for at least the next week.

Hmmmm I'd think it more likely that the sidewalk or floor would need to be repaired. /sar.

At the same age . . . I do appreciate more and more that falling can be a challenging thing to avoid.

Giving the old girl her due, she looks exhausted after traveling almost a million miles. It must really bug her that her boss and husband are on the golf course while they enjoy having her out of the country .

Sadly, she seems to have accomplished little because the world is much more unsafe than what she inherited...which was truly "Bush's fault."

EXCLUSIVE: Clinton will not testify before Congress on Libya, concussion cited



Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will not be able to testify before House and Senate panels on the Benghazi issue due to concussion, Fox News learned Saturday.

Clinton was a scheduled to testify Thursday on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in which U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stephens and three other Americans were killed.

The State Department said Saturday that Clinton is suffering from a stomach virus, fainted and hit her head, which caused the concussion.

However, the agency did not say when the incident occurred.

Both congressional panels announced earlier this week that Clinton would testify Thursday. However State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Thursday a related report has yet to be completed and no date has been set.
