It’s that time again for the Democrat-media complex to start its victory lap. The far left Mother Jones won a prestigious George Polk Award for its undercover hit on Mitt Romney.
The Mother Jones reporter captured Mitt Romney saying it would be difficult to win over the 47% Obama-Claus voters who receive government cash and goodies.
The 47% story on Romney was effective in averting the media’s attention from Barack Obama’s awful record. It also played right into the Obama-media’s hands in their plan to paint the GOP as being the rich guy’s party. The AP reported:
The reporter for Mother Jones magazine who broke the story of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s remarks that 47 percent of Americans “believe they are victims” is among the winners of the 64th annual George Polk Awards in Journalism.
David Corn, Mother Jones’ Washington bureau chief, received the political reporting prize for his work, which shook up the campaign when he reported on the remarks in September.
The awards were announced Monday by Long Island University. Winners also include journalists from Bloomberg News, The New York Times, CBS News, McClatchy Newspapers, GlobalPost, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, the Maine Sunday Telegram, “Frontline,” and the nonprofit California Watch.
Among the top prizes in U.S. journalism, the Polk Awards were created in 1949 in honor of CBS reporter George W. Polk, who was killed while covering the Greek civil war. This year’s awards will be given out April 11.

how could that piece beat this one? "babysitting" oh, I forgot, who is giving out the Polk awards. it's not the content of the piece that wins awards but the political damage inflicted to a conservative that won this prize.
. . And suddenly the world turned asymmetrical. There were no longer any battle fronts. It was every man for himself.
Well old mit did sort of stick his foot in his mouth, why discuss who would not vote for him. But then he turned milk toast after his cut throat attacks on worthless newt and Santorum.

agreed, but that's not the reason the award was given. the Mitt piece was an undercover expose. OK but so were the O'Keefe pieces and the series of them revealed the hypocrisy of the Left. well, that's not award-worthy is it.
