The problem is that, the converse doesn't work.

It's still irrational, IMO, to say that just because one has a certain name, one doesn't have the right to hold office.

George P. will certainly not win based on his name. Leftists and a few conservatives hate their guts.

What nerd suggests is only true if George P. would be elected because of his name, and that reason alone.

If he is qualified to win, and runs a successful campaign, more power to him.

If my name were Bush I'd go find a place to hide because I would know that people like nerd hate me for no logical reason. I'd never run for office.....
