George P. Bush, son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and the grandson of former President George H.W. Bush, said on Tuesday he would run for the Republican nomination to be Texas Land Commissioner in 2014.

Thanx for the heads up. I know who I'm not going to vote for in 2014. Geez, a lot of people bellyache about Ma Richards because she was a (D), but she wasn't the big government statist prick that little failed oil man that replaced her was.
No more Bush in the WH, and no more Bush in Austin. He can go to California. They'll elect anyone. Better yet, send him up north to the family digs in Kennebunkport.
We don't need any Land Commissioner anyways.

I think I remember seeing him interviewed way back then and I was absolutely amazed by him. At age 12, his knowledge of what was going on in the political world was absolutely breathtaking. How many kids of our friends do we know are headed for trouble and we just keep our mouth's shut ??

WHY were the political ambitions of the next generation of the Kennedy clan applauded ....and WHY is the next generation of the Bush family REJECTED ??

George P is NOT his Daddy, Uncle or Grandfather !!

I say, he deserves a CHANCE to be HIS OWN MAN !!

Maybe by the MSM and the Beacon Hill Brahmins, but for the most part, the Kennedy losers are laughed at and mocked. That is why there isn't one in elected office today, especially after Ted moved to the wrong side of the grass.

George P. Bush - Military service

On March 21, 2007, the United States Navy Reserve announced the selection of Bush for training as an intelligence officer through the direct commission officer program. Once commissioned as an Ensign for eight years of reserve service, he was expected to attend a year of intelligence training, initially assigned to duty near his home. Bush told The Politico that attending the October 2006 launch of the aircraft carrier named for his grandfather�the USS George H.W. Bush�inspired him to join the service. He also called the death of Pat Tillman, the NFL player and Army Ranger who was killed in a friendly fire incident in Afghanistan in 2004, "a wake-up call".Bush served in Operation Enduring Freedom for eight months under the United States Special Operations Command and returned to the United States in 2011. During that deployment, he was given a different name for security purposes. Not even those he was serving alongside knew his real identity.

Additional Information -

When asked in 2003 about whether he planned to run for office himself, Bush replied that his grandmother, Barbara Bush, had advised that anyone thinking about entering politics should distinguish himself in some other field first: "Make a name for yourself, have a family, marry someone great, have some kids, buy a house, pay taxes, and do the things everyone also does instead of just running out and saying, 'Hey, I'm the nephew of or the son of or the grandson of...'."

Career

Bush received his undergraduate degree from Rice University and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2003. After law school, he clerked for U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, Sidney A. Fitzwater.

Bush currently manages St. Augustine Partners, an energy and technology-focused investment firm in Fort Worth, Texas. Previously, Bush co-founded Pennybacker Capital, LLC, a real estate-focused private equity firm in Austin, Texas. The company was originally named N3 Capital and headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Bush left Pennybacker Capital in 2012. Before entering the real estate investment business, he practiced corporate and securities law in Dallas with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP. In 2005, Bush was selected as one of Texas Monthly's "Rising Stars" for his work with Akin Gump.

Bush is the national co-chair of Maverick PAC, a national political action committee dedicated to engaging the next generation of Republican voters. Bush is also a co-founder and on the board of directors of Hispanic Republicans of Texas, a political action committee whose goal is to elect Republican political candidates of Hispanic heritage to office in Texas.

Bush is currently the Tarrant County chairman for Uplift Education�a Dallas-based public charter network focused on closing the achievement gap in inner-city public schools.

The Bush family requires that all its children work at real jobs, do service to their communities and behave honorably before they run for public office.

Bush hatred is ignorant (and stupid).

And if this place is going to become Bush-bashing central in spite of the dangers and treason we face with the Marxist Democrats, I'm outta here........
