That actually would be a very interesting conversation. I listen to Mark regularly and he has had the House GOP "leadership" (Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy) in his sights every evening. He slices them to pieces several times per show.

Maybe the best solution would be to evaluate the candidate on their own accomplishments and merits. Then after doing that make an educated decision to vote for the most qualified person for the position. And Mark Levin earns his money by stirring up his audience in order to keep them listening and buying his books. Always keep that in mind when listening to talk show entertainers.

I thought I might do a little research to add some factual information to counter the emotional anti-Bush rhetoric about George P.'s "sense of entitlement" above....

George H.W. Bush, a military hero and youngest navy pilot in WW II, worked in a successful oil business in TX, lost a bid for Senate, won a seat in Congress, served as Ambassador to the UN, chairman of the RNC, liason to China, director of the CIA, and was chosen by Ronald Reagan to be his VP running mate, leading to his winning the presidency.

He had 6 children, 2 of which entered politics, George W., serving honorably in the ANG, losing a Congressional bid, running an oil business, purchasing the TX Rangers, and then becoming Governor of TX in 1995 at the age of 49. He decided to run for the Presidency after listening to a sermon.

GHW Bush has 14 grandchildren, none of whom have run for public office other than George P. (at the age of 36). GW Bush's daughters both chose paths of service, Jenna having majored in education and having taught in inner city schools, and Barbara doing AIDS work in Africa............... a very strange choice of activities for those who feel 'entitled.'

While I agree with Justme that the "privilege and wealth" of the Bush family muddle the issue, this presumed "sense of entitlement" is only that. A presumption.

And my guess is still that class envy is at its root.

One should not be punished either for having wealth and a famous name, or for not having wealth or a famous name. Our earliest politicians were all wealthy and came from well-known families, and that did not, nor should not have disqualified Washington, Adams or Jefferson from running for office, as nerd has suggested.

As for the NE roots, the Bush family ancestry goes back to the Colonists. Blaming them for having roots in New England is a shallow, empty critique.

Incidentally, George P. Bush worked for Ted Cruz's election............

Hopefully it will defuse some of the rabid anti-Bush hysteria around here.

I especially like the morsel about Goerge P. working to elect Ted Cruz. It'll be fun to see whether that makes George P. less odious or poor Ted Cruz is now a RINO for once having gotten within 10 feet of a Bush.

I really don't care about the families history of "Thousand Points Of Light" works either way. Am I allowed to dislike the Bush's for generally making piss poor decisions or setting things in motion that end up being devastating to the country when they are in power?
