Hehehehe. I thought this was his baby? I thought this was going to catapult him into national fame? Guess not so much...
ZitatAfter being the face of the Senate's immigration bill, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has not said a word about it since it passed more than three weeks ago, and has not come to the bill's defense even when other Republicans have attacked it.
As the National Journal noted, Rubio did not even respond when House Republican leaders "trashed" the bill as being like Obamacare last week. The publication notes that Rubio's office, "which churned out countless press releases touting his interviews and speeches about the legislation, hasn't said a word about immigration since the Senate passed the bill on June 27."
Rubio, a seminal "Gang of Eight" member, was instrumental in pushing the legislation through the Senate and, as a result, has seen his support among Republicans and conservatives plummet.

I received a solicitation mailing from Rubio today.
He calls it his "Rubio Victory Committee" to help promote his conservative leadership and to help him build a strong national organization and assist like-minded candidates.

How much should I send him, Frank ??
$35 -----> $2,500 ??
One would think that he would give an option for a lower amount of giving in his current political state. Say $1.50. Maybe a $1.98.

Sen. Marco Rubio’s push for a sweeping immigration overhaul may have turned off some conservative activists, but it didn’t diminish his luster with GOP donors.
The Florida Republican raised a combined $3 million for his Senate account and a political action committee between April 1 and June 30, according to someone familiar with his fundraising totals. That represents a 30% jump from the first quarter of 2013 and brings his total haul for the year to $5.28 million.
The windfall comes four years ahead of his next election – either to keep his Senate seat or to run for the White House – and shows his attractiveness as a national candidate to a cross-section of Republican donors who aren’t fazed by his role as the co-author of a comprehensive immigration overhaul.
